Life Science Angels, a premier angel investment group focused solely focused on healthcare investing, is bringing angel investor members to UCSF to for a one hour mentoring session. The members have expertise in all areas of life science/healthcare – devices, therapeutics, diagnostics and d.health. Courses:
Monday, June 24th-August 12th, 5-7pm (Weekly). Financing New Ventures is an eight week survey of the financing landscape for life science/healthcare ventures. We will explore the range of options to get your venture funded ranging from SBIR grants to seed funding, angel funding, venture capital and alternative sources of capital such as foundations and corporate venture funds. There will be a session on finance basics, valuation, term sheets and a review of the content for a business plan and investor pitch. Co-taught by Stephanie Marrus, Director of the Entrepreneurship Center and top rated lecturer Naeem Zafar from Haas, UC Berkeley, the course will include invited speakers from the Valley. Apply here. Monday, June 17th, 5:30-7:00 pm, Stanford Biodesign. The Stanford Innovator’s Workbench series featuring John Dineen, CEO and President of GE Healthcare Ltd. and GE Medical Systems.
